The Problem

  • Small spring fed water holes
  • Women carry 5-gallon jugs of water back to their homes for a mile or more
  • Women wait in line to fill their jugs
  • Round trip from house to spring and back can take up to 2 hours
  • Not enough water is available for crops

The Solution

  • Drill bore hole to access abundant clean water
  • Install approximately 2.5 kilometers of water line down mountain with several spigots to access water quickly and efficiently

What if you drill the bore hole and do not find water?

  • Hydropath Equipment and Services Limited was engaged to survey the mountain in search of the best place to find water. They located water at 240 meters which is typical for the area.
  • This company boasts a 100% success rate – they know the area and have always found water.
  • There is no guarantee, but the contractor comes highly recommended from entities like The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

What if you do not raise the necessary $53,000 to complete the project?

  • 100% of all money raised will be returned by Access Without Borders.

Is my donation tax deductible?

  • Miracles Flow has partnered with Access Without Borders, a registered 501 (c)(3), allowing your donation to be fully tax deductible.

How much money have you raised so far?

  • Fundraising was initiated on May 14, 2026. As of 7/14/26 we have secured funding of over $20,000.

How much water will this project produce?

  • The contractor estimates the borehole to produce 7000 to 10,000 liters/hour.
  • A 10 hp bore hole pump is able to pump 8000 liters/hour.
  • The pump will be powered by a 11.28 kw solar system.
  • A 2500-meter pipe will pipeline will be installed in a trench with 7 water points or spigots.

What is the economic benefit to the village?

  • Easily accessible water will allow Kituvu to produce more coriander and other fruits and vegetables for resale outside and inside the Village.

Do you have the necessary regulatory approvals for this project?

  • The initial survey was completed in January 2026 and submitted to the Kenya Government.
  • Approvals were issued February 2026.

What happens once the project has been successfully completed?

  • Checks and maintenance by the drilling company 2 to 4 times a year.
  • Training of Kituvu residents to eventually check and maintain the system.
  • Help and follow up from Miracles Flow for up to 7 years.
